HANS MIES - Personal statement regarding Medzys

Over the past eighteen months, I have found myself at the center of a legal investigation initiated by a group of former co-investors and one of my former employees that is currently active as a competitor and closely aligned with this group of investors. These parties have accused me of fraudulent conduct—allegations that I firmly and categorically deny. From my perspective, these accusations are not only unfounded but most likely also strategically motivated.

While the investigation is still ongoing, I remain fully confident that the final outcome will reflect the facts and confirm that I acted with integrity and in good faith throughout. My legal team and I have cooperated fully with all relevant authorities and have taken every step to ensure full transparency. I believe that, in time, the truth will become clear and that I will be completely exonerated. Should omissions been  made throughout the process of investment, obviously we will aim to correct them.

Despite the challenges brought on by this situation, I have been able to protect and secure all key intellectual property associated with the various startup ventures I have supported over the years. This has also been done on behalf of those investors that issued the allegations as I am of the opinion that they have been inaccurately informed by those that have had a strategic interest in doing so. This has allowed us to consolidate the most valuable assets and expertise under a new company structure. It is for this reason (continuation of protection of assets as well as investors) that I have now decided to publish this statement.

Today, under the name PhoenixRevoco, we are continuing to pursue our investment strategy with renewed focus and determination. PhoenixRevoco represents not only a fresh start but also a firm belief in innovation, entrepreneurship, and the long-term potential of the projects we support. I am deeply grateful to the co-investors and partners who have stood by me during this time and who share a clear, forward-looking vision for the future.

We are optimistic about what lies ahead—both in terms of the resolution of this matter and the growth and success of PhoenixRevoco. With a strong foundation, valuable intellectual assets, and a committed team, we are building for the future with confidence.
